About Everything Zelda 64:
I used to be obsessed with the game Zelda 64 for Nintendo 64. I was also very into web development in my teenage years and wanted to put my love for both the game and building website to use. I started creating the website Everything Zelda 64 under my old internet 'handle' was Mattspeed on December 28, 1998. I used the at the time free website builder, Geocities. This was before the days of some of the bigger gaming sites so Everything Zelda 64 became very popular having had 583,160 visits since it was launched.
On October 26, 2009, Geocities closed its doors and even though Everything Zelda 64 wasn't a popular site anymore, it was pulled down. Luckily I had a backup of all the content. Basically everything I am posting here was pulled from the content I wrote back in 1998. Because this game is one of best video games of all time I figured it was worth reposting as a memorial here on my website, matwolf.com. This is Everything Zelda 64.
About The Legend of Zelda Ocarina of Time:
The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time is an action-adventure video game for the Nintendo 64 video game console. It was developed by Nintendo's Entertainment Analysis and Development division and released in Japan on November 21, 1998, in North America on November 23, 1998 and in Europe on December 11, 1998. Originally developed for the never released Nintendo 64DD peripheral it ended up instead being released on a 256-megabit (32-megabyte) cartridge, which was the largest-capacity cartridge Nintendo produced at that time. Ocarina of Time is the fifth game in The Legend of Zelda series, and the first with 3D graphics.
The player controls Link as he sets out on a quest to stop Ganondorf, King of the Gerudo tribe, from obtaining the Triforce. Link travels through time and navigates various dungeons to awaken sages who have the power to seal Ganondorf away forever. Music plays an important roleāto progress, the player must learn to play and perform several songs on an ocarina.
Ocarina of Time's gameplay system introduced features such as a target lock system and context-sensitive buttons that have since become common elements in 3D adventure games. In Japan, it sold over 820,000 copies in 1998, becoming the tenth-best-selling game of that year. During its lifetime, Ocarina of Time has sold over 7.6 million copies worldwide. The title is widely considered by both critics and gamers alike to be the greatest video game ever made.
