Apple Introduces Apps for iPhone and iPod Touch

As a new iPod Touch owner I am very interested in Apple’s latest announcement of Apps or Applications for the iPhone and iPod Touch. All iPhones including both the new 3G phones and older first gen models can upgrade to firmware 2.0 for free which gives them access to the app store. iPod Touch users can also upgrade their firmware to 2.0 for a $9.99 fee. The applications range in function from games to productivity apps to social networking apps and give 3rd parties a chance to develop software for Apple iPhones and iPods.
