Posted on 01 Apr 2010 | Tagged as: Deals, Video Games | 275 views

Little Big Planet

Rumor has it that Sackboy has reason to smile because word on the streets is that Little Big Planet will become a greatest hits game very soon. When that happens, the color of the game box magically turns to a transparent red and the price magically falls to $29.99 MSRP. By the way it’s the GOTY edition that’s rumored to become a Greatest Hit which means that in addition to the standard game, it features exclusive levels from 18 members of theĀ LittleBigPlanet community, the “Metal Gear Solid“, “Monsters” and “History” costume and level packs and the “Animals” costume pack.

The other games rumored to be getting Greatest Hits status are:

  • Killzone 2
  • Resistance 2
  • inFAMOUS
  • UFC Undisputed

Digger HD On Sale This Thursday For $4.99

Posted on 30 Mar 2010 | Tagged as: Deals, Video Games | 237 views

Growing up in the 80’s and having an IBM computer at home I was fond of many video games on my computer including Digger, Round 42 and Agent USA. Digger in particular was a great game. The gameplay in Digger is very similar to the game Dig Dug where one must dig horizontal and vertical underground tunnels while collecting treasures and escaping from bad guys. The game has been remade as Digger HD for PSN. It has been out since last October but will be going on sale for $4.99 starting this Thursday. View the trailer above.

Black Friday 2008

Now only two weeks away, Black Friday is sneaking up on us like those people sneak in line at the last minute right when the stores open. Although this will be a rather weak Black Friday compared to those in the past, there are still some deals to be found. • Circuit City / 260 DVDs and CDs / $2.99 – $3.99 each
  • Circuit City / Select Blu-ray Discs / $8.99
  • Target / 750GB External hard Drive / $88.88
  • Wal-Mart / Magnavox Blu-ray Player / $128
  • Wal-Mart / Xbox 360 & Guitar Hero III / $199

Best Buy Black Friday Ad Not Impressive

Posted on 14 Nov 2008 | Tagged as: Deals | 201 views

Best Buy Black Friday Ad

The Best Buy black friday (day after Thanksgiving) sales ad has hit the internet and it’s not looking too impresive this year. In the past Best Buy has provided some of the best doorbuster deals of all the major retailers but with the financial market in ruins, and people looking for deals every which way, maybe Best Buy couldn’t afford to let things go at ridiculous prices. Or maybe people are just sick and tired camping out in front of a store for two days in the freezing cold in order to try and save $300 on a new TV.

Apple iTunes Store Bargain Bin Movies

Apple iTunes Store Bargain Bin Movies

I don’t enjoy rebuying my movie collection every time a new format comes out, first VHS, then DVD and now digital. The thing I like least about buying digital is that it’s stuck in a format that I can’t physically touch. I’m glad Apple realized we don’t want to pay a lot for digital movies because they started an iTunes store movie bargain bin. A bunch of movies will be released each week for only $5. With movies like Terminator 2 on the list, the movies are pretty good too. Not sure yet if by limited time they mean the movies or the bargain bin but we should find out next week.

Microsoft: No More Licenses For Windows 3.x

Posted on 06 Nov 2008 | Tagged as: Deals, Technology | 191 views

Windows 3.x

As of November 1st, 2008, Microsoft has stopped issuing licenses for Windows 3.x which debuted in May, 1990. The 18 year old operating system carried Microsoft through the early 90’s up until Windows 95 came out in August, 1995. Windows 3.x included a significantly revamped user interface as well as many technical improvements over Windows previous OS. In order to install Windows 3.x, you needed a hard drive with a whopping 6-7 MB of free space.

Bejeweled 2 App Store Price Now $2.99

Posted on 02 Nov 2008 | Tagged as: Apple, Deals | 173 views

iPod Touch $2.99

For those looking for a cheap way to fill up your iPhone or iPod touch with some killer apps, Bejeweled 2 is on sale for $2.99. It’s possible it’s on sale now to sell a bunch of copies before they release Bejeweled Twist in the App Store. Anyway I dont care, i’ll bite and pay the $3, down from $7 earlier last month. Although the App Store version is a bit bare bones and won’t even let you save your high scores it’s still great for some fast addictive arcade fun.

Blu-ray Sale At Amazon.com

Posted on 24 Sep 2008 | Tagged as: Deals | 193 views

blu-ray logo

This is the first Blu-ray Disc sale I’ve seen in a while. The last time I remember Blu-ray’s at prices like this was last year during the Blu-ray/HD-DVD wars.. when HD-DVD was still around. The 95 Blu-rays on sale aren’t all trash either. Check out the sale at Amazon.
