Afterburner Climax on PlayStation Network

On April 21, Sega is releasing Afterburner Climax for $10 on PSN and XBOX Live. This title will be the fourth in the Afterburner series. I’m very excited about the game, being a fan of the huge arcade unit that took up a corner of most arcade floors in the late 80’s. Check out the trailer above.

Tecmo Bowl Throwback Coming To PSN

Although the release date is still unknown, Tecmo is soon to be coming out with a remake of Tecmo Bowl available for download on PSN and XBOX Live. Hopefully the gameplay will be as addictive as it was for the NES and SNES versions of the games released years ago.

Microsoft Zune HD Coming This Fall

Microsoft is planning on giving the Apple iPod Touch line a run for its money when it releases Zune HD later this fall. The Zune HD will feaure a 3.3 inch 480 x 272 OLED touchscreen display along with a built-in HD Radio receiver. In addition Zune integration is coming to the Xbox and Xbox Live which makes one ask will Zune HD be Microsofts answer to iPod Touch and iPhone applications?

Street Fighter 2 HD Coming Soon

Although the beta has been out for a while now, Capcom announced today that Street Fighter 2 HD will be available very soon to download on XBOX Live and PlayStation Network. Street Fighter 2 in High-Def can’t come soon enough. The fans are waiting Capcom!

Nirvana Nevermind Coming to Rock Band

I’ve been waiting for this album to be released for Rock Band since way back in November. Eleven months since it was announced, still no full Nevermind album, but we are getting seven songs from Nevermind, one of the best albums of all time. And even though there’s no Smells Like Teen Spirit on the list, the seven tracks will be available on Xbox Live Marketplace and PlayStation Store starting next Tuesday. The songs will go for $1.99 individually or $10.99 for the pack which includes:

Something in the Way

Super Street Fighter II Turbo HD Remix

Being a huge Street Fighter II fan, this news excites me enough to the point that I’d consider buying a 360 just for this game. Capcom has already released the Beta version of Street Fighter II HD on XBOX Live for the 360. Now I’m not sure how well the 360 controller will work with the game but the thought of doing hadoken’s in Hi-definition excites me.
